Kashmir Embroidery Pashmina Shawl, Peacock Design, Beige
This gorgeous sozni Jamawar with class, timeless antique designs is a perfect addition to your fabulous Kashmir Shawl collection.
We absolutely adore the rich and live story-telling design that is often found in designs from the late 19th century, painting a rather vivid picture of the royal gardens, where local and exotic flowers blossom, birds sing and in this work, peacocks dancing around. Peacocks are often seen in royal artifacts, as symbolic signs of prosperity, good fortune and loyalty.
The details in this shawl are marvelous, the combination of various types of embroidery art including paper mache style stitching and loop work is a classic showcasing of local artisan's skills and desire to illustrate beauty with their craftsmanship.
Despite of the rich colors and full design, the natural base and the overall tasteful color palette gives it a somber, earthy and classic look that easily goes with any outfit or style.
