The Khatamband floral design is a classic Kashmiri art form originated from the traditional wood work, mostly used in making ceiling or window decorations. These designs often comprises of a grid structure of diamond shaped, square or round panel motifs, with the borders filled with elegant tiny floral designs. 

The sozni embroidery work is refined beyond words. Using 80 C extra fine embroidery threads, the artist was able to create a magnificent piece with the finest touches, the traces of stitching are lost in the amazing details.
