Natural Gulaab Kalam Designer Pashmina Shawl

A new Antiquity Look from our new design house, this gorgeous ladies size pashmina shawl comes with a natural base and beautiful, timeless design consisting of a large size Dhoor design on the borderlines, and a Janjeer borderline on both end panels, adding a unique, chic and stylish touch. 

Janjeer is the 1 inch wide border decoration in red, yellow and green found at both end panels, a very unique combination as this design is traditionally used on plain shawls, mostly used by men. A rather old technique very much like Kani weaving, and mastered by only a handful of artists in Srinagar. 

There is a royal touch to the Gulaab Kalam (rose work) floral designs, inspired by classic antique designs, yet there is a lightness and new elegance to it. The complexity, intricacy and tasteful color combination on this shawl is rare to see among today's commercial productions. 

What is worthy mentioning is the intricate, exquisite embroidery work, with amazing design details, impeccable stitching and finishing work. The color combination of orange, turquoise, navy blue is classic and elegant, and the woven borderline in maroon gives a beautiful contrast to the palette, adding a hint of excitement. 

This embroidery pashmina shawl comes from one of our newly associated designer house, specialized in Sozani embroidery art (embroidery work with small needles). A family business passed down from 3 generations, they value high quality fabric and unique, artistic designs and traditional practices.
